The Gallery of Annoying Email Signatures is a collection of those text fragments people include at the end of their email messages. Criteria for inclusion in the Gallery are pretty straightforward -- the signature has to annoy me and provide little or no useful information. I have no problem with people putting wacky stuff in sigs for their personal accounts, but I can't get over the number of people who put all sorts of embarassing junk in their work signatures.

The Gallery was inspired by Evan Davies' hilarious Gallery of "Misused" Quotation Marks. I freely admit I borrowed the style and layout for my Gallery from him. .

If you come across any email signatures that annoy you, feel free to submit them to me for inclusion in the gallery. Send them to gallery@orsiNO-SPAM.net (obviously, remove the NO-SPAM first).

I am proud to present the undisputed monarch of all annoying email signatures. It is a rare combination of way too much business-related information, an incorrect and misleading mailing address, malapropisms, and an unrelated random personal quote. ("Park Slope, NY" as far as I know, is not a valid postal address. It's the name of a neighborhood in Brooklyn, but it's not a valid town name, at least according to the US Postal Service. Also, 11th Avenue isn't even in Park Slope; it's in another Brooklyn neighborhood entirely.) The person also used the word "virile" instead of "viral," as in "viral marketing." Unless, of course, they specialize in extremely manly marketing campaigns. To top it off, the person automatically included a huge graphic file. I guess the text alone didn't waste enough bandwidth:
